“I did it for me,I liked it, I was good at it and I was alive”
This clip is from the final episode of Breaking Bad where Walt discloses what it meant for him to actually start to live after learning that he was dying. In Walt’s case he gave up being a struggling chemistry teacher to becoming a drug dealer. Don’t get me wrong, I am not advocating crime in any way, but this clip made me think what is it in our lives that makes us feel alive?
It can be so easy to get trapped in a routine that leaves little room for spontaneity, joy and aliveness.
When was the last time you did something for you, that you liked that made you feel really alive? The poet Mary Oliver asks “Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life”?
What would make you feel alive today?
